This week, HDB Services Ltd was commissioned to carry out a comprehensive lighting upgrade at a large logistics site in Manchester. The brief was clear, improve yard lighting levels to enhance safety, visibility, and operational efficiency.

Our in-house team delivered the works seamlessly, completing a 200m cable run and installing multiple Kingfisher tubular lamppost columns. The installation also included a new consumer unit and 150W LED floodlights, all set into freshly poured MCR mixed concrete. The scope involved significant civil works, but thanks to careful planning and great weather, the team made excellent progress, even finishing ahead of schedule.

It was a productive and enjoyable week for our crew, working out in the spring sunshine. Big thanks to Joel (our lead electrician), Dave (our M&E specialist), and Arek (our general builder) for their hard work and quality finish.
