Working in one of London’s most recognisable buildings, HDB Services Ltd was appointed by Savills to undertake a high-profile upgrade at the iconic Sky Garden, located at 20 Fenchurch Street.

This tightly scheduled three-day project involved the complete decommissioning and removal of the reception speedlane system, a task that required precision planning and coordination due to the building’s live, high-traffic environment. The team replaced the legacy installation with high-level safety glass, complete with base rails for modern compliance, and added bespoke oak trims to elevate the finish and blend seamlessly with the architectural surroundings.

The reception space is the first point of contact for many of the building’s thousands of daily visitors, so the standard of finish and attention to detail were paramount. Our team worked closely with the on-site management team to ensure uninterrupted access and zero operational downtime during the upgrade works, a true demonstration of HDB’s ability to deliver under pressure, with discretion and professionalism.

This was another standout collaboration between HDB and Savills, underpinned by trust, communication, and a shared commitment to delivering premium environments. The end result is a sleek, welcoming reception area that reflects the prestige and modernity of one of London’s most famous landmarks.
